ULEZ & Congestion Charge — what actually hits your quote

Our entire fleet is 100% Euro-6, so the ULEZ charge never applies to a HomeGo move — many older London removal fleets quietly pass a £12.50–£100 daily charge into their "fuel surcharge". The Congestion Charge zone (weekdays 7am–6pm, weekends 12–6pm) is different: where your move genuinely crosses it during charging hours we declare the £15 upfront in the fixed quote. • Lift or stairs? A 3rd-floor walk-up adds roughly 30–45 minutes per room versus lift access.
• Goods-lift booking? High-rise blocks need a slot booked 48 hours ahead — we handle it.
• Narrow mews or terrace? We shuttle with a smaller van where a Luton can't reach the door — planned at survey, never a moving-day surprise.

Cheapest days to move in London in 2026

Tuesday and Wednesday mid-month are consistently 15–20% cheaper than Friday end-of-month. January and November are the quietest months. Avoid the last Friday of any month, bank-holiday weekends and Notting Hill Carnival weekend (late August) if W2/W10/W11 is involved.
