What size van do I need for a 3-bedroom move?

A 3-bedroom UK house typically fits in one Mercedes-Benz LWB Maxi-mover Luton van (20 m³ / 706 ft³) with a full crew. For 4+ bedrooms, listed properties, heavy furniture or long-distance moves we send the DAF 7-tonne lorry (50 m³) instead — one truck, one price, no extra journeys.

Do you hire out your 7-tonne removal truck without drivers?

No. All HomeGo vehicles are fully-crewed, insured removals — the driver and porter are directly employed by HomeGo Removals & Packing Ltd. This is deliberate: it keeps the goods-in-transit insurance valid and means the same team who packs your home is the same team who unloads it.

Are all your vehicles GPS-tracked?

Yes. Every DAF and Sprinter streams live GPS to our office. On moving day you can call and get an accurate ETA to the minute — no more "the van is on its way" for four hours.

Is the equipment on the truck extra?

No. Blankets, straps, ratchets, wardrobe cartons, dollies, sofa covers, mattress covers and shrink wrap are all on board every vehicle and included in the fixed quote. You never pay extra for kit.

Do you charge VAT on removal work?

No. HomeGo Removals & Packing Ltd does not charge VAT on any of our removal, packing or storage services. The price you see is the price you pay.

Can the truck fit into a narrow London / Reading terraced street?

The Maxi-mover Luton vans are the go-to for narrow-access streets, conservation areas and low-bridge routes. If access is genuinely tight we survey ahead of the move and confirm the right vehicle at quote time — no surprises on the day.

Where is the depot?

Our Regional Depot is at 93B Gore Road, Burnham SL1 7DD. It doubles as our secure overnight-storage facility for multi-day and long-distance moves. Full postal address is on the About page.
