Modern Slavery Statement

HomeGo Removals & Packing Ltd issues this statement in relation to the Modern Slavery Act 2015, section 54(1). We take a zero-tolerance approach to any form of modern slavery — slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, child labour, and human trafficking — in our business and our supply chain.

Our business

HomeGo Removals & Packing Ltd (Companies House 16811153) is a UK removals and packing company operating from three locations — HQ at 93B Gore Road, Burnham, Slough SL1 7DD plus branches in Birmingham (Walford Road, Sparkbrook B11 1NP) and Uxbridge (195 Pield Heath Road UB8 3NR). Service area: Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire (Luton), Surrey (Guildford), Greater London and the West Midlands — counties, villages and surrounding areas. We operate our own fleet and employ our moving crew directly on PAYE — no rotating subcontractors.

Statutory compliance

We are firmly committed to ensuring that no aspect of modern slavery exists within our operations. This applies equally to our own direct employment practices, our relationships with clients, and our dealings with suppliers and third parties. We will not knowingly do business with any party that contravenes the Modern Slavery Act, and we will report any instances or reasonable suspicion to the relevant authorities.

Our people

Every HomeGo mover is employed directly under a formal PAYE contract. We verify Right-to-Work documentation under UK Home Office guidelines before any role starts. We pay at or above the Real Living Wage and we do not use agency labour for moving crew roles.

Our supply chain

We require suppliers of packing materials, vehicles, fuel and third-party services to operate within UK employment law and to have their own modern-slavery policy. Where a supplier cannot evidence this, we seek alternatives.

Awareness and training

All HomeGo staff are briefed on the signs of forced labour and human trafficking — on-site indicators include workers unable to speak freely, no ID, shared accommodation with employer control, wages paid into a third party's account. Staff are encouraged to raise any concerns directly with a director.

Whistleblowing

Any concern — from a customer, colleague or supplier — can be raised in confidence by emailing office@homego-removals.com marked "Modern Slavery Concern". All reports are investigated promptly by a director and escalated to the authorities where appropriate.

Review

This statement is reviewed annually. It is approved and signed by the Managing Director of HomeGo Removals & Packing Ltd.
