Castle-area access — the big issue
Most of central Windsor (within ½ mile of the Castle) is bollarded, single-yellow or pay-and-display only. Loading windows are tight and contested. Our default Windsor approach:

- Default to Luton vans for the streets between Peascod Street and the Castle

Crown Estate cottages
Windsor Great Park, Frogmore, and the Crown Estate residential properties around the Long Walk and Datchet Road have their own rules. Estate gatehouse passes are required for vehicle access — we coordinate with the estate office 48–72 hours before the move. Our crew is on the approved-contractor list.
Long Walk parking dispensations
The Long Walk and adjacent streets (Park Street, Sheet Street, Frances Road) need bespoke RBWM dispensation applications. Lead time is 5 working days; cost £45/day per zone. We handle the application as part of your fixed quote.
Eton High Street
Eton (SL4 6) is even tighter than Windsor proper. Eton High Street is single-yellow with school-day restrictions (no loading 8am–9am and 3pm–4pm during term). We run Eton moves either before 7am or after 6pm, every time. No exceptions — we've seen national firms get £130 PCN fines for trying.
SL4 Dedworth and Clewer Village
The newer SL4 4 and SL4 5 estates west and south of the Castle are easier — residential roads with on-street parking, 7.5-tonne rigid is feasible, no permits needed for most jobs. Same-day availability is routine.
